ROBERTNEUN™: GLASHAUS_03 Exhibition at the DAZ

Posted on 25. October 2011 by kristienring

The projects by ROBERTNEUN™ (Berlin) focus on the transformation of spaces into experiences – besides clubs and bars, the office has designed an art gallery, a show room and several delicatessen grocery markets. Their exemplary work shows how young architects develop creative and intelligent solutions of high architectural quality within a limited budget. For their Weekend Club at the 12th floor of a high-rise building, ROBERTNEUN™ was recently awarded with the Berlin Architectural Award.

Thomas Baecker (born 1969), Nils Buschmann (born 1972) and Tom Friedrich (born 1972) have been working together under the label of ROBERTNEUN™ for six years. The DAZ Glashaus exhibition not only features their realized projects but also highlights their working methods and the creative process that determine the final building or interior design. It is remarkable in the age of virtual space, renderings and 3D animation that ROBERTNEUN™ tests their ideas with physical models. The exhibition demonstrates this process and presents the Glashaus space as a 1:1 model.
